Meet Our Players: Joel

Hull & East Yorkshire PFC are delighted to introduce you to one of our development players Joel, who is the latest to star in Meet Our Players Series. Joel is a development player and a up-coming academy player. He has only been playing for just over a year however, he has a desire to score goals. We introduce you to Joel:

How long have you been playing powerchair football?

Not very long but, more than a year.

What do you enjoy the most about powerchair football?

I can go super fast!

Why should someone who has a physical disability, and uses a wheelchair on a daily basis try powerchair football?

You should try it because you get to be part of a team, even if you are still learning powerchair football skills.

How has powerchair football changed your life?

I get to play a sport with friends.

What’s your favourite memory of the club?

All of it!

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I'll be still playing powerchair football, and will be five years older!

How did it feel when you first tried powerchair football?

I was worried at first about trying powerchair football because it was something new. But, I'm glad I did as it's super cool.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

I have met the real Professor X at Lapland.

What are your hobbies away from powerchair football?

I love going swimming, playing with my dog, and love everything to do with Marvel.

What have you been doing during the lockdown?

I have been playing on my new Nintendo Switch.

We would like to thank Joel for taking his time during the lockdown to answer these questions. It's clear to see that Joel love playing powerchair football and is really glad he tried the sport.

On Wednesday, we will be introducing you to an academy team player who will be the next to star in Meet Our Players Series.
