Neil Hudgell has been a patron of Hull & East Yorkshire Powerchair Football Club for more than three years. Neil is the chairman of Hull Kingston Rovers a professional rugby league team. As well as chairman of Hull KR he is a business owner of Hudgell Solicitors one of UK's leading personal injury and accident compensation lawyer firms. Here is what Neil has to say about being a patron:

" I am a very proud patron of the Eels. They are an inspirational group of athletes of all ages, who have to deal with a range of disabilities, but lead the way in showing how determination and hard work can prevail in the face of adversity, to create something very special and enjoyable, and a fun group to be around. The committee and helpers work tirelessly, exuding an energy that is very infectious, and great to be a part of. "

Josh Hodgson became a patron for East Riding Electric Eels in 2013 when the club received charity status. He is a former Hull KR player who visited Eels on a number of occasions. When Josh was in England he used to train with the players when he was able to. Josh is currently at Canberra Raiders an NRL professional rugby league side in Australia. Here is what Josh has to say about being a patron:

" I was asked to be a patron a couple of years ago by the Eels, I was and still am extremely honoured to be a patron and although I don't get a lot of time to see them or visit training they give me more inspiration then they will ever know, for them to go through some of the challenges in life that they do and still be constantly happy and enjoying playing sport as well, helps me to work the hardest I can to be the best athlete I can be, if they can work as hard as they do with the hurdles in life they have, then I have absolutely no excuse not to give everything to be a success! "
