OUR GOAL

This will be a visual element to show our target and how close we are to it. £20,400 IS THE TARGET

WHY ARE WE FUNDRAISING

Hull & East Yorkshire Powerchair Football Club is growing on a monthly basis. As more disabled people discover powerchair football and become part of the Electric Eels community, we need to make sure we have the specialised equipment available for our players.

Powerchair Football is a sport designed for people with a physical disability who are full-time or use a wheelchair to help complete tasks in their daily lives. Powerchair Football relies on specialised powerchairs that are specifically designed purely for the sport. Unlike a medical standard wheelchair, these powerchairs are specifically designed to allow players to manoeuvre at a fast speed, tackle, hit a ball and, importantly, play a sport that they love - football.

Imagine how it feels to score your first goal.

We are fundraising for two new strikeforce powerchairs that will help us achieve our chairtable aim and objectives. Creating more opportunities for new players to get involved, develop their skills and enjoy the sport they love.

⚽️ More Players

Having additional powerchairs will help us provide opportunities for more disabled people to try and play powerchair football.

🧡 ONE BIG COMMUNITY

Powerchair football is about more than what happens on the pitch. It's about friendships, confidence, belonging and being part of the Eels family.

THE ELECTRIC EELS STORY

Hull & East Yorkshire Powerchair Football Club was founded in 2012. Formerly known as East Riding Electric Eels, our first training session was on Saturday 5th January 2013, with only six members.

Since then, the club has continued to grow, providing disabled people living in the Hull and East Yorkshire region the chance to play powerchair football at both competitive and recreational levels.  We now have almost 20 members

Today, we have almost 20 players and growing, with players taking part across our First Team, Academy Team and Development Team.

We aren’t just a club. WE ARE ONE BIG COMMUNITY. The players, families, parents, carers, supporters and volunteers come together make friends and support one another so they aren’t alone.
