Hull & East Yorkshire PFC Academy Crowned Murray Watson Cup Champions

Hull & East Yorkshire PFC academy team were crowned the 2024/25 Murray Watson Cup Champions on Sunday.

The academy team travelled to Leeds on Sunday to face Leeds PFC development teams in a cup tournament named the Murray Watson Cup. Electric Eels first faced Leeds Spartons with our academy team winning 6 - 0. Goals from Ashley x 2, Nathan x 2, Stuart x 2. Then they faced Leeds Amazons who came out on top winning 1 - 0 in a close match. Next up was against Leeds Spartons in another thrilling game with Electric Eels winning 3 - 0. Goals from Ashley x 2 and Shane. The final saw Electric Eels academy face Leeds Amazon. Our academy team learnt from earlier in the day and developed a plan which, saw the team win 2 - 0 with Ashley scoring both teams.
Stuart was awarded MVP of the tournament.
We would like to thank Leeds for hosting the tournament and a huge thank you to Ian for transporting the powerchairs, Mandy & Steph & Tony coaching on the day and all supporters who cheered the team on and helped where needed.
