Electric Eels First Team travel to Leeds

This weekend Electric Eels first team will be travelling to Leeds to play in The Duncan Scales Memorial Cup Tournament. The first team will be tackling alongside Leeds Chariots, Leeds Dynamos, and special guests Scottish PFA. This exciting cup touranment will be taking place at The Edge Sports Centre, Leeds.

It is believed the event will provide a perfect opportunity for all teams to continue their improvement and the first competitive games of the winter break prior to the start of National and Regional leagues.

Speaking to the club website head coach Lee Brennan has given his thoughts.

Lee said: “ We're really looking forward to the trip to Leeds on Feb 3rd to play in the tournament. It's a chance to blow off those winter cobwebs and get back into the swing of things before the second half of the season starts. We know both the Leeds teams very well as we meet regularly in the regionals but the Scotland team will be a new challenge.”

Also, captain of the first team Kai Gill said: "We're excited to be playing Leeds and Scotland this coming Sunday. It's a perfect opportunity for the team to put into practice our hard work in training. Also, it will be good to play a competitive game as the winter break can feel long for us all due to no games being played. Hopefully, we can bring the Duncan Scales Cup back to Hull.

If you would like to see powerchair football in action then attend this fantastic event on Sunday 3rd February at The Edge Sports Centre in Leeds, LS2 9JT. The event will start at 11am and finish at 4pm. Please note there are parking charges however, the first 3 hours are free parking.
